Gritstone Trail (0.25 mi)

Stride out along the Gritstone Trail and sample some of the finest walking in Cheshire. This is a more challenging route stretching from Disley to Kidsgrove, with some fine ridge walks and stunning views over the Cheshire plain.The Gritstone Trail, which now includes the former Mow Cop Trail, has been extended to make it more accessible by public transport. The route is split into three sections, which can each be walked in a day by fairly fit walkers.

Tegg's Nose Country Park (3 mi)

Views from Tegg's Nose overlook nearby Macclesfield Forest and across to the summit of Shutlingsloe which is the second highest point in Cheshire as well as the Telecoms Tower on Sutton Common and the Macclesfield Canal. On clear days you can also see as far as the Welsh Hills and Liverpool in the east across the Cheshire plain.
